Name is Russell, I live in the county of Dorset, SW/UK 150mile sw London..I have great pleasure & so proud to be using my Grandfather's old call.
Call History
In 1930 my Grandfather held the call 2AUQ an artificial antenna licence, then in 1936 became G5XW. He was a member of the RSGB and RAOTA. If anybody has any info about him maybe a QSL card/s, any info at all please contact me.He became SK in March 1975.

I enjoy traveling/dxing (always wish I could do more)I have been to Maderia, Gibraltar, France, The Netherlands, Sri Lanka, Egypt, Maldives, Greek Islands, many trips to the Channel Islands as well as all around the UK both land and sea, if possible my Alinco DX70 and some sort of antenna system will not be far away

G5+3 was used for foreign nationals with RAE or suitable qualification in their home country & reciprocal agreement with the UK. (1966 to 1984)
